Five Things You Should Do During Break

Five Things You Should Do During Break Its FRIDAY! And what does that mean? The start of Thanksgiving break! I dont know about you, but Ive been looking forward to this break since the first month of classes this semester. Good thing its finally here! Since Ive been thinking about break for so long, Ive already come up with some ideas about what to do this break. If youre looking for a checklist to make sure youre getting as much out of your break as possible, look no further. Here are some things you may want to do these next few days! (1) Catch up with friends and family.   They may try to hide it, but your family and friends from back home have missed you dearly. Its easy to get caught up in wanting to sleep the day away and stay in your own room again, but make sure you make plans to do something as a family every day, and maybe go get dinner with a group of your friends once or twice! (2) Spend time with your pet(s). Not everyone has pets, and thats okay! But I know that Ive been missing my dog like CRAZY! Theres just something about hugging your pets when you go home that will melt the semesters worries away. (3) That Netflix series you havent had time for? Now you have the time. Watch a few episodes! You may not have time to binge-watch an entire series, but go ahead and treat yourself to a few episodes of your new favorite show! (4) Get a start on those big projects or essays coming up soon! Depending on your workload and classes, you probably havent started on that essay for that one class, or that speech for another, or that project foryou get the idea! If youre like me and have a lot to get done these next few weeks, dont wait! Get to work! Your future self will thank you later. (5) BE THANKFUL! Regardless of whether your family chooses to participate in Thanksgiving or not, maybe take this break to reflect back on your semester so far and be thankful for all the new friends youve made, memories youve shared, and homework assignments youve gotten through! Use this break as a time for reflection and relaxation as we head into the final few weeks of class. Thats all I have for you today! I hope you all have a wonderful break, and finish the rest of the semester out strong. Until next time, I-L-L!
